This has become one of my favorite breweries to visit. My buddies and I came because there is a trivia night on Tuesday. I have enjoyed the very cool and chill vibes. The beer is pretty good and the service is really great there. Would recommend that if you go on a trivia night that you get there early because tables will be limited! I Believe you're only food option is pizzas

This place is cool, from the outside it looks completely abandoned, empty. But then you see a small light, and a door handle. Overall a bright, lively environment. They have snacks, cocktails (seasonal and a standing list), and the beer menu is great! Lots of good heavy stouts and fun IPAs

Delectable food in a cute neighborhood. Stopped at this great dinner spot after walking around to the most adorable little shops on this street. Vibrant neighborhood. Bubble lady Linda was offering some fantastic entertainment for the children. Sandwiches and sides were well sized, creative, and delicious! Perfect for a summer night!

Their food is unique and fun and you get 2 sides w the sandwich dishes! We thought we had to order separate sides but lo and behold we got 2 sides per order so we got to try many sides! They have outdoor seating and indoor it's very cozy. You can try flights here also. They had a nice selection of beers. The blueberry cider was really good. One pour is about $3.50. The mashed potatoes w mushroom was a bit salty but I love it that they added mushrooms. The corn was very good bc the butter garlic sauce was so good. The Mac and cheese was good too. The sandwich dishes are fun and the combo of what they add to them are good and tasty. Some of them had challah bread which I enjoy.

Another new to me brewery was Maplewood Brewing & Distilling. A lot of recommendations for this brewery, so I knew that I had to make it a priority. On top of having a couple of offerings both on tap and in cans, but never making it to the actual taproom in Chicago. Maplewood has been open since 2014 and was the first place to do both brewing and distilling all in one spot. The location is off of the main drag (where you will find plenty of other breweries as well), and feels almost like a speakeasy lounge. You can see the wall of taps, in addition to bottles of liquors and liqueurs that will sure to find something to fit your fancy. I had a flight of three beers I chose and one the beertenders chose for me. 1 MPH: An American Pale Ale that fits the bill of what you expect. It has medium bitterness and a good malt body that balances traditional American hop flavors. Moon Fruit: A Double IPA brewed with Galaxy, Citra, and Mosaic hops. Heavily tropical aromas and flavors - this is a juice bomb! Cuppa Breakfast (non-barrel aged): An Imperial Stout brewed with natural maple flavor, Tanzanian vanilla beans, and Ghanaian cacao nibs. Then they added a blend of beans hand picked from Hexe Coffee. Who needs a barrel when you have a beer so complex as this! Tastes like morning breakfast in a glass with heavy coffee notes, vanilla maple syrup on a chocolate waffle almost. These Boots Are Made Riwakan': A West Coast Pils that was my favorite of the beers in the flight. It was brewed for the Pink Boots collaboration brew day in celebration of International Women's Month using the Pink Boots hop blend along with some El Dorado and a ton of Riwaka (e.g. the name). Crisp and easy drinking, but still have strong citrus fruit and white grape notes.

Cute, cozy spot. Really like the vibe and the beers. Also had an eggnog that was super tasty! The space is a bit small, so if you're looking for a spot for a lot of people it might be tough.

So our experience on a Saturday night was - "do you have any whisky flights? No. Do you have any beer flights? No. Do you have any food? No." I was like, wow, but then as the bartender was making my husband's Manhattan he acknowledged it was an unusual night because they'd had an uncasking (is that the right word?) earlier. So anyway, my spouse said the drink was awesome and I loved my beer. We will be back. Loved the chill vibes and beer/whisky combo. We will be back.

We really liked Maplewood Brewery. We have seen their beers in the store and was excited to see all they have to offer. Located at the end of a block, they have outdoor seating and inside. I don't believe they have dedicated parking , but we found street parking a block away. The inside has high tops, the bar and window seating. I tried their canned cocktails. The rum punch was so refreshing on a warm summer day. They do sell their items to go! Overall, it was a nice experience.
